English Language Challenges

Learn a new language is always a long and hard road to walk and who say the opposite is lying. During my highschool period I was very interested about improve my English skills but last year the one thing that I had on my mind was study for the PSU. Well, after becoming disregarded of have a constant practice I really can say that I’m very rusted as English speaker.

The English course on the University is very different to the method that I had on my school. There, the system mainly consisted on learn grammatical rules and things like those. I like have English class again but since the start I am very annoying about how is put on my academic schedule. I think that blogs were very good instances of practice my writing (including grammar and ortography).

About the aspects that need my work on that… Well, I think that I must practice in every respect (spoken and written English). On the spoken part my weaknesses are on my pronunciation of certain phonemes. Anyway, I guess that aspect never has been strength on me because, as I said previously, on my school the focus of learning was on the written part. And about that part, I must work on how conjugate correctly some verbs.

I have been trying to integrate English to my routine, practicing my pronunciation when I have free time, watching movies with subtitles and listen how the words sounds on a fluent conversation and read lyrics of many songs to learn no recognize words on a dialogue.
